"Back before I left Providence Brian Gibson and I would get together pretty much everyday for about half a year
and improvise in the warehouse I lived in.
I would convince him to get high and he would convince me to not tell Brian Chippendale he was getting high.
So, win-win, right?
Brian Gibson was a fantastic improvised drummer and I was a pig in shit if I could make a racket everyday.
These are the bulk of the recordings ... recorded to a Vestax 4 track
we played probably 3 shows (?) and i remember one basically ruined a party (sorry about that Roz)
But I have fond memories of this precursor to Pink & Brown
and I miss jamming with Brian, so, here's to you bud." - JPD

Vol. II of the Osees' Lev Sessions is a perfect succesor; digs more oldies out of their ever-growing backcatalog and gives them a fresh coat of paint. Fan favourite 'Tidal Wave' starts things off strong before delving into garage nostalgia with 'The Dream', 'Enemy Destruct' and 'Destroyed Fortress Reappears'. 'Web' and 'Beat Quest' are also great, and it's cute to hear 'Spider Cider' too. The Chrome covers that end things off are really cool; 'SS Cygni' is a hell of a bop to end things off. Xtra Happy

It's funny how this collection of demos almost acts as a stepping stone in the folk sound between 2007's "Sucks Blood" and 2017's "MOACOH"; though the general focus changed, the firm roots of OCS never quite left The "Dog Poison"/"Castlemania" jingle-jangle guitars are here in force ('Wait Let's Go'/'Say You Love Another') along with more traditional folk like 'Cat Food' and 'I Am Smoke' Other curios here include the odd groovy synth on 'The Finger' and the gloomy and trudging 'Regular Meat' Xtra Happy
